RubberQueen meeting!

Tuesday was our RubberQueen meeting and I heard it was awesome!!! We had 47 stampers there, and Melissa, Anne, and Tamie ran a great meeting for me while I was with my Mom.  I'm sharing with you two of the make n takes and a couple of the swap cards.  I LOVE the new Ornament set! The Ornament card was our card contest winner, and the Peacock from very Thankful was Tamie Ackerson's beautiful swap card!  Everyone who attended formed a team to get at least 45 home workshops booked by the end of August and EVERY Demonstrator who attended will get a pack of the Specialty cocoa paper out of the Mini catalog.  If they book at least 25, then they will get the new white shimmer paint!  I love it when we can work together as a team!  I have already had a few email me with bookings!  I wanted to do a challenge like the one we were given at convention. If the convention team gets at least 3000 recruits we get the NEW My Digital Studio for FREE!  I really hope we do it.  I got my one recruit, and I hope to get more!  Anyone want that 85.00 kit?  You have till the end of the month. I also am sharing with you a picture of Carter with his first bruise.  It was so sad, I almost even cried myself.  He hit it pretty hard on the leg of our dining room table.  Spent today cutting for the classes to go...looking forward to Sunday.  Have a wonderful weekend, and I will catch up with all of you soon. Don't forget to start RSVP'ing for the card class on the 26th of August...It's a Wednesday this month.  We will be using all new products, and even some from the upcoming Mini catalog!  I also just scheduled a Grand Open House showcasing the new Holiday mini and all the fabulous products. My house on September 1st!  10:00-1:00 or 6:00-8:00.  I'll be doing a BIG product giveaway and 6 make n takes!

Marvelous Monday

I got home from convention on Saturday, as you all know, and today I'm in South Bend with my Mom.  Most of you know that her kidney's are failing, and they are getting much worse.  She will find out tomorrow if her donor is rejected or not, and it's not looking good, so she will hopefully start dialysis in the next week or two.  She needs me, and I really need to be with her so I won't be at the RubberQueen meeting tomorrow, but I left it in the hands of some mighty awesome Demonstrators.  Tamie, Anne, and Melissa will run the meeting, and do the make n takes, and Melissa is going to show you a new Awesome technique that I have never even seen before!  I just wanted to send out a quick post to remind you to RSVP for the classes to go. Tomorrow is the last day to RSVP for them, and you can pay online using the paypal links, or you can give me a check at the meeting tomorrow night. I will be home on Wednesday so I can put my order in and get ready for the event.  Please say a prayer for my Mom. We know that God is sovereign and in charge, but it's so hard to see her sick.  I'm sure many of you have experienced this with your own Mother's. But, today with us here she looked wonderful, and was doing very well. Tomorrow I'm going to visit my Mother-in-law who is fighting Pancreatic cancer.  She needs a new catalog, and wants to see some of the Big shot dies!  I love that she is still stamping! Have a wonderful meeting...there is LOTS of fun stuff in store! I'll catch up with you all soon!

Back Home!

I am so grateful to be home!  But, had a wonderful time in convention.  I really enjoyed spending time with my downline, and hearing about all the awesome things in store for the company.  I think what I'm most excited about is the My Digital Studio due out in October for Customers, and September for Demonstrators.  AND, I'll get one free if all the convention attendees recruit at least 3000 new demonstrators! Erica lost her tooth today...I'm so grateful she waited till I got home.  I would have been so sad to miss it!  Well, Obviously my highlight at convention was awards night.  I never leave there less than speechless, and this year I thought I might.  First off, one of my favorite parts was I got a new Burberry purse...I love it!  That was for being #3 in promotions to Senior Supervisor and above.  Carter got to walk up on stage with me for that one.  Then I was awarded 11,000.00 for being #12 in the company for Demonstrator of the Year.  I was very happy with that.  Then in a surprising change of events, Shelli Gardner invited me back to be on the advisory board.  I am very honored, and excited.  I get to serve with 7 other awesome women that I'm looking forward to getting to know.  ALSO, my favorite part was getting to watch Tamie shine as she was leaving the Advisory board.  They did video interviews with her, and a beautiful farewell presentation.  THEN, I sat next to Melissa Roberts, my direct recruit and friend and waited anxiously as they read off the names, and she ended up at #48!  That's out of 45,000 demonstrators!! I'm SO proud of her, and am even more excited about what she will do this year.  There is nothing more special than watching one of your own downline get awards like that.  The stamping was awesome, and swapping was really good this year! If you're coming to the meeting on the 11th...bring your cameras, because all of that went to convention are going to bring our swap cards with us to share with you.  Have a wonderful day...I heard it's going to be hot.  I'm going to spend some time with my kid's and try to unpack. Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget to RSVP and pay for the classes to go coming up on the 16th!!  Deadline is the 11th.

Here are a few more of my Classes To go samples, the Ribbon of Hope class, and the Christmas Jingle Scrapbook class.  Both of these are AWESOME!  If you don't know someone with Breast Cancer now, then you certainly will!  It affects SO many, and mailing them a hand-stamped card as they battle chemo, radiation, and everything else they have to go through is one small thing that you can do to brighten their day.  Also, I'm choosing to do the Christmas Jingle scrapbook now, because last year it was on backorder the whole month before the holidays.  I'm leaving for Convention tomorrow...very excited!  Carter is coming with me, and I'm grateful.  It will be tricky, but I would just be worried sick if I had to leave him.  I have 14 downline members going, so I'm sure I'll have lots of help! For the past 8 years I've always ranked in the top 10 of the company, actually 7 of those years I was #4 or higher, and this will probably be my first year that won't happen.  Yes, because I was pregnant and had a baby, which about put me out of commission, and I'm so grateful for him.  I am grateful and blessed that I was even able to do what I did!  I have amazing customers and downline that have been so patient watching me wobble around while I was pregnant, and then carry Carter around in a carrier for the first 4 months.  But, you still can't take the West out of a cowgirl, and you can't take the competitiveness out of me, so I pray that I am gracious and overjoyed no matter where I land.  God is glorified in all I do, so I know he will put me where He will shine the most! Say a prayer for me!  I will try to post from convention with some updates! Travel safe, all of you who are leaving for Salt Lake City, and for my awesome downline....Can't wait to get back and share it ALL with you!!

Technique Time samples

Hello, Ladies!  I just wanted to share with you some photos of the technique time.  It was a wonderful day full of stamping, demonstrations, raffles, giveaways, and techniques!  The crayon resist one gave us a little trouble, and we also learned you can't buy cheap double foam tape for shaker cards, other than that, it was a perfect day!  Thanks to ALL my stampers who chipped in and helped, and for our 10 presenters, you were awesome, and it really helps to see the techniques done in person, with so many beautiful samples.  I'll post the 10 pages here, and then you can check out my facebook page here if you want to see more pictures of what we did.  If you're not my friend on there, I would love to "friend" you!  These are the 10 pages that we did.  Our presenters were: Tamie Ackerson: chipboard, Kari Mason: Watercolor Crayons, Vicki Restainer: Faux Stitching, Sandy Haynes: Polished Stone, Arlena Craven: Packing Tape, Sandi Dailey: Dry Debossing, Faux Alligator Skin: Laurie Gibson, Darcie Helt: Baby Wipe, Ronda Wade: Shaker Cards, Lynn Schulz: Crayon Resist. Thanks again, Ladies!!  I'm getting excited for convention...I leave early Wednesday morning. Swaps are done...THANKS to Tamie, and Carter is coming with me, so I will only have to pack.  I have the gift for my girls already, and we'll be having dinner together on Wednesday at PF Changs.  Will miss all of you not going, but look forward to coming home and filling you in on everything!  Have a great Sunday!  Thanks for stopping by!  So far I've had a positive feedback on my personal training business that I will be starting when I get back..let me know if you want some more info.  I promise that lots more information is coming soon...to a webpage coming soon!

Fabulous Friday

It's late, but I wanted to share with you my swap card for convention...Yes, I'm done with mine. That's because Tamie did them when she drove to Arizona and back. God LOVE that woman!  I have 200 of them to swap.  Today was another busy one getting ready for the Technique class tomorrow.  Lots of printing, stamping, sorting, cutting, and packing to do.  I think I'm finally ready. I have to go to bed, or I might not be able to form a complete sentence in front of everyone tomorrow!  Too many nights of staying up late, and when Eric is out of town, I just don't sleep well.  I have also scheduled my Classes to go for August 16th. If you're on facebook, you can see my complete album, and I'll post a few here.  I'll also try to get paypal links set up for them....after Saturday. One thing at a time. : )  They are awesome!  It's a great day. You can come make just one class, or two, or get the biggest bang for you time, and make all 6. My favorite is the Birthday Card class. Make the birthday calendar, and 12 cards so you won't forget again!  I'm also showing you a picture of the Very Thankful class, that one's good because it will also donate 2.00 for the Ronald McDonald House...what a great cause, so you should all plan on coming to the class!  Thanks for stopping by....will chat again soon!  By the way, I'm getting my car back tomorrow. It needed a new transmission, and radiator.  Thankfully, it's all covered by our warranty! I thought Hummer's were meant for rough driving!

Card Class cards

Last night was my monthly card class...we had 34 people there!  Lot's of FUN!  You get to make 8 cards for 10.00 or if you put in a min. of a 15.00 order the cards are free.  I'm posting a few of them so you can check them out, and feel free to copy!  Plan on coming next month!  It's the last Tuesday in August.  We always have a great time! Today was an interesting day...my car's transmission went out while I was driving to the dentist.  My husband is out of town, so the dealership ended up having a tow truck come and pick it up.  Luckily I made it home safe from Okemos, and I spent the rest of the night home with Erica and Carter just playing and hanging out.  Tamie had an allergic reaction to her pink eye medicine, so she couldn't come Tuesday, but is coming tomorrow, so we'll be stamping, cutting, packing, and getting ready for the technique time event on Saturday. I'm really looking forward to it. The booklet is gorgeous! The hot ticket item last night was the Elegant Bouquet folder for the big shot.  Everyone loved it!  So, if you don't have it yet, put it on your wish list.  I'm off to stamp tonight! Thanks for stopping by!

Carter's first day at Kimmie's

I did it, I just dropped off Carter at Kimmie's house. Erica has been going there for over 4 years, and she loves it.  He started to pucker and cry, so I RAN out of the house.  I stopped and got a coffee so I wouldn't be able to cry, and I needed the caffeine.  Now I'm home, ready to start stamping.  Tamie is heading over...THANK GOD!! Doesn't that woman know that these three week long vacations KILL me! : )  Yes, she does know, and I'm just joking. No one deserves a vacation more than her!  Although, while she was gone, she made me 195 swap cards, so technically she was still working. I have to tell you all what I'm working one...I'm excited, scared, nervous and following the lead of God's will!  First, I'm switching my blog to typepad, which will be up in about a week.  I'll keep you updated! Second, I'm starting a side business that I feel very led to start.  God has blessed me, I am VERY aware of that.  But, NOT in computer savviness, or in creativeness (yes, I can copy, and create cute easy cards), and I'm not blessed in being able to communicate effectively over the internet or use this computer to the fullest.  But, I am blessed, and He has given me a very special gift.  I am choosing to use it!  I love to train, motivate, inspire and teach about direct sales, and Stampin' Up!  I've been in the top 10 for 8 years for a reason, and I've learned SO much, and have lot's of experiences.  I want to share those!  My favorite thing to do is to work with my downline and motivate and inspire them.  Also, I've been having my son go to a personal trainer for a while, and I am hiring one of my own.  This is for exercise, of course, which I NEED help in!  Do I know how to exercise?  Yes, but not most effectively, and I choose often to NOT do it.  Well, that's why I need a personal trainer to hold me accountable, give me proper exercises to do, and to motivate me to keep exercising, and eating right.  I am going to start my OWN personal training business.  NOT in exercise, but in building Stamping businesses.  I will teach you, motivate you, inspire you, and make your job easier, and more effective. I will offer what NO one else does.  Training in business, but also stamping will be included in the package, so you will have classes, cards, and scrapbook pages sent to your DOOR each month.  Not in a computer waiting to be copied, but the real deal! My goal is to have everything ready by next week. Michelle Laycock from Laycock designs is helping me, and I have lots to prepare, because this is going to be organized, official, and I am bursting with excitement with what I want to share!  God gives you a passion when he wants you to follow something.  My personal business will NOT change.  I think you teach best by actually DOING!  I will talk the talk, and walk the walk.  This is why Carter is going to Daycare today.  I will need several days a week to make phone calls, do conference calls, one-on-ones, and lots of prep work.  Stay tuned....lots more to follow.  Pray for me! I need to start stamping...8 cards for tonight, 10 samples for Saturday, and 3 classes for my classes to go on August 16th.  Tamie has pink eye, but like the trooper she is, she is still coming. thanks for stopping by...I will have card class cards posted today later, or tomorrow!

Marvelous Monday

I had a realization today....I have a 6 month old with his two teeth just coming in, a 5 year old, with her front two teeth really wiggly and ready to come out, a 12 year old with an orthodontist appt. next week to get braces, and a 15 year old still waiting for one of his teeth to come in and talking about Wisdom teeth removal already....BOY, what a span of teeth dilemna's!  Last night I had a wonderful mini camp at Nichole's house.  We did 5 cards for 5.00. Anyone wanting to schedule one of their own private card class camps...now is the time to do so!  I also waive the fee if they spend over 30.00.  LOT's of Fun! Here are two of the five cards that we made last night.  Today is the final day to RSVP and pay for Saturday's event to get the 25.00 early bird price and guarantee your spot.  After that it will be on while supplies last, and 30.00 at the door!  Today is also the final day to RSVP for tomorrow's card class!  I'm busy today taking RSVP's, so I'm ready for yours!!  We have 10 awesome techniques and presenters!  Hope you can come.  (There is a link on this blog to pay.)  My two boys and Eric are leaving tomorrow for yet ANOTHER tournament.  This one was kind of a surprise, as Andrew got asked to play on a team for their National tournament, so our basketball season has been extended a little further.  Since I have lots to get ready for I'm staying home with the two little ones.  It should be quiet, but I should get lots of work done.  Tomorrow will be a tough day for me, everyone say prayers.  I have to take Carter to daycare for the first time.  I hate to have him go, but I need to start working more efficiently, and he needs to get some social outlet.  He is pretty attached to his Mom,  And his Mom is pretty attached to him! I'll be sharing card class cards this week.  Stop back by soon!

Happy Birthday, Ryan

Today is my son's birthday...He is such a special boy.  From a very young age he has had to struggle with so much, and God has preformed miracles in his life, over an over again. He is truly blessed with an amazing athletic talent!  So, today, he wants to play Spades with his Mom and Brother, and he wants Kentucky Fried Chicken for dinner (YEA!! I don't have to cook!)  Last night's first Christmas stack of the season was a huge success. We had 20 people there, making 20 cards each, so I had to cut for over 400 cards!  Without Tamie!!  Needless to say my stamp room is a wreck, and I have to get it in some sort of order before Tamie gets here next week, or I'm in some serious trouble.  I plan on having one of these classes each month before December (different cards each time), so you can enjoy getting your cards done a little at a time.  The Scenic Season stamp set was everyone's favorite last night.  I really like the little Dasher stamp from the 10.00 and under page.  Makes a very cute card, and I think it will make an even cuter tag.  Just a reminder....You'll want to sign up for the Technique time event on August 1st.  We'll be using LOTS of new products and you'll see tons of demonstrations!  Lunch is included, along with new product, raffles, and you'll make a 10 pages technique booklet along with the printed step-by-step directions.  Hope you can come!  If you pay by the 27th, it's only 25.00!  There is a link right here on my blog.  Everyone is invited! If you check out my first blog in May, there is a sample of what you'll be making.  Today is a rainy day...I love it!  My pool turned green while we were gone, so we can't swim anyway.  I plan on beating the boys in spades, and the loser has to wash the dishes, so I can check that chore off the list! Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!
Blessings,

Wedding pictures

I'm still in Fort Wayne for Ryan's tournament, and so far his team is undefeated. They've won 6 games straight. We'll see how they do today.  I'm posting some of the pictures from the wedding on Saturday. Ryan was a groomsman and Erica was the flower girl.  I was so proud of them!  I'm also going to post a card, just because.  Simple and easy!  Tomorrow or Thursday I'll post some of my cards from the Christmas in July class!  I'll be doing another Christmas card stack next month too.  This one filled up pretty fast.  Hope you are having a wonderful week.  Sleeping in a different bed for the last 5 nights is killing my back..I can't wait to get home later today and sleep in my own bed!  Tomorrow I'll wake up early, pour some coffee and cut for 400 cards for tomorrow night!! Tamie is still in Arizona, so I have to do it myself.  Boy, do I miss her! Don't forget about the card class next Tuesday.  We'll see LOTS of new fun stuff!  I have the new Big shot folders, some paper, stamp sets and more!!  Hope you can come.

Scrapbook club and scrapbook class

Here are my pages for this month.  Of course, one of them we made last month, and then the other three this month.  You can make these yourself by coming to the Scrapbook class on the 28th for 15.00 or you can join our club! If you do, you'll get to be the hostess one of the months, and enjoy our fun.  Summer sure is tough trying to keep a schedule.  My boys are keeping me busy, busy!  Yesterday I went to Laser Tag for Ryan's birthday party.  Of course, I kicked those kid's butts!  I love running around in the dark, shooting at little kids and sneaking up behind them!!  This weekend Erica and Ryan are in a wedding, and then we're off to Fort Wayne, IN for a National Basketball tournament, and then, if you can believe it, basketball is finally done for a couple of months!!  Football starts in about 4 weeks, so we do have a little break.  Next Wednesday is my Christmas in July class!!  I'm so excited about it.  I'll post some of the pictures next week. I'm still waiting on my ribbon to get here so I can complete my samples.  You'll get a bolt of the new red polka dot ribbon in your class fee.  I LOVE all the new Polka Dot ribbon!!!  So far at the August 1st event we'll be seeing...faux Leather, Dry Debossing, polished stone, and more!! You won't want to miss it! Make sure to RSVP, and invite guests to come with you!  You and your guest will be put in a drawing for a 100.00 gift certificate along with other prizes! Their wishlist will be miles long when they leave.  There is a link over on the left to pay with paypal, or you can mail me a check. Have a wonderful summer weekend!
